Joe Rogan Ousted! Anti-Trump Podcast Takes

Joe Rogan has lost his longtime top spot in the podcast charts to the anti-Trump MeidasTouch Podcast, according to Podscribe data.

For years, conservative and pro-Trump voices like Rogan, Shawn Ryan, and Ben Shapiro dominated the charts. Trump himself leaned on these platforms during his successful 2024 reelection campaign, bypassing traditional media. But now, less than a month into his new administration, the surge of the left-leaning MeidasTouch Podcast suggests a shift in public sentiment.

According to Podscribe, The Joe Rogan Experience saw a 32% drop in downloads, landing at 48.6 million this month, while MeidasTouch skyrocketed 101% to 56 million, claiming the top spot.

Founded by brothers Ben, Brett, and Jordy Meiselas, MeidasTouch brands itself as a “pro-democracy news network” that gained traction with viral videos and political ads against Trump. In a recent episode, Ben Meiselas called out Trump directly:
“The buck stops with you… He needs to take responsibility, and we’re going to hold him accountable every single day.”

Interestingly, Trump’s embrace of podcasting was reportedly influenced by his youngest son, Barron, who recommended appearances on shows like Adin Ross and Bussin With the Boys. After Trump’s election victory, UFC president Dana White publicly thanked podcasters like the NELK Boys, Theo Von, Adin Ross, and Joe Rogan for their role in Trump’s campaign success.

With MeidasTouch now topping the charts, the podcasting landscape may be shifting—at least for now.

What People Are Saying

The MeidasTouch Podcast celebrated its rise to the top with a post on X (formerly Twitter):
“The MeidasTouch Podcast is officially the #1 podcast in the U.S. per the newly released Podscribe industry rankings, with 57.7 MILLION downloads and views per month.”

Congressman Robert Garcia also chimed in, congratulating the team:
“Congrats to @MeidasTouch. Well done @meiselasb and the whole crew. We need to be everywhere to reach working people and get our message out. Let’s keep it up.”

What’s Next?

Will MeidasTouch maintain its #1 ranking, or could this signal a broader shift in podcasting, with more anti-Trump voices rising in the charts? Time will tell.
