Jesus Guerrero, a renowned hairstylist to stars like Jennifer Lopez, Kylie Jenner, and Jessica Alba, has passed away at 34, his family has confirmed.

His younger sister, Gris Guerrero, shared the heartbreaking news on an online fundraising page, writing that Jesus “has gone to heaven.” While the cause of death remains undisclosed, she described his passing as “sudden and unexpected.”

A statement was also posted to Guerrero’s Instagram Stories on Feb. 23, alongside a series of photos honoring him.

“Our family would like to thank everyone for the love and support during this difficult time,” the statement read. “Jesus was a radiant light in this world, touching countless hearts and lives. We have cried endlessly, reflecting on what we could have done differently to still have him here. Seeing the outpouring of love from so many fills and breaks our hearts all at once.”

The family has asked anyone with photos or videos of Guerrero to share them in his memory.

“I don’t know how the world will move on without his light,” the statement continued, “but I know he will give us the strength to overcome any obstacle.”

On the fundraising page, his sister also shared a heartfelt tribute.

“He was a son, a brother, an uncle, an artist, a friend, and so much more,” she wrote. “Born and raised in Houston, TX, to immigrant parents, Jesus learned the value of hard work and dreamed of taking his talents to the top.”

Guerrero’s legacy as a beloved hairstylist and artist lives on in the many lives he touched.

Hollywood Mourns the Loss of Celebrity Hairstylist Jesus Guerrero

Since the heartbreaking news of Jesus Guerrero’s passing, colleagues and friends have shared heartfelt tributes in his memory.

Celebrity hairstylist Jen Atkin, who has worked with the Kardashians and Jenners, honored Guerrero in an emotional Instagram post on Feb. 24.

“He had the ability to make the whole room feel the warmth of his presence and giggle at his playful antics—all while casually creating hair ART,” Atkin wrote. “It’s not surprising to see so many people sharing stories of their love for him and his work.”

Reflecting on their bond, Atkin expressed deep admiration for Guerrero’s kindness and talent.

“I believed in him so much,” she continued. “I loved this kid. I knew what his future would be. I told Mike I wanted our son one day to be humble, kind, and talented like Jesus. He was such a special human. My biggest regret as a mentor is not checking in with him more often. I just can’t make sense of him being gone.”

She extended her condolences to his family and ended her tribute with touching words.

“May we always speak of his smile, his talent, his spirit, his heart,” she wrote. “May we tell people we love them, light up the room, and give Jesus-type bear hugs. Rest in peace, you cutie. Thank you for all you have taught us. I am forever proud of you, Juicy G.”

Ariel Tejada, Kylie Jenner’s longtime makeup artist, also shared a moving remembrance of Guerrero on Instagram.

“2•22, one of God’s most beautiful angels has just opened his wings and flew to join Him in heaven, and watch over me. 🕊️🙏🏽💔” he wrote. “Last night, I experienced the most painful, breath-stealing pain I have ever felt when I found out you left us, @jesushair.”

Tejada described Guerrero as his chosen family.

“Family is not always just assigned at birth—sometimes they are chosen, and you were my chosen family,” he continued. “I told you this many times before: I don’t know how I could have done the past 10 years of this journey without you. And you always replied, ‘I wouldn’t want to do this with anyone else.’ Now that you’re gone, I’m unsure how I will continue the same without you.”

He called Guerrero his “anchor” and “rock,” emphasizing their deep connection.

“We were in sync on a level only you and I will ever comprehend,” he wrote. “You were a safe haven for me, pushing me to be the best version of myself in every room we stepped into together. More than a friend, you were my brother.”

Tejada also praised Guerrero’s exceptional talent and humility.

“There was no one like you, Jesus, and there never will be,” he wrote. “I’m at such a loss for words. From the moment I met Jesus, I fell in love with him. You couldn’t help it. He was the absolute kindest, most authentic person I have ever met.”

As the beauty industry and his loved ones continue to mourn, Guerrero’s legacy of artistry, warmth, and kindness will live on in the hearts of those he touched.
