Diddy Sues NBCUniversal Over Explosive Documentary Battle!

Sean “Diddy” Combs has filed a lawsuit against NBCUniversal, Peacock, and production company Ample over the documentary Diddy: The Making of a Bad Boy, alleging it contains defamatory statements.

Released in January on Peacock, the film explores Combs’s life and career, including the sex-trafficking charges that led to his September arrest. Combs, who has pleaded not guilty and awaits trial in May, claims the documentary spreads “outrageous lies and conspiracy theories,” including accusations of murder, sexual assault of minors, and sex trafficking.

In the documentary, singer and record producer Al B. Sure! sat for an interview in which he referred to Kim Porter’s 2018 death as a murder.

His attorney, Erica Wolff, stated the film was made to “capitalize on scandal” with no regard for the truth, violating Combs’s right to a fair trial. The lawsuit also targets interviews with figures like singer Al B. Sure! and artist Jaguar Wright, who suggest, without evidence, that Combs was involved in suspicious deaths.

NBCUniversal and Ample have yet to respond to the allegations.

Diddy Lawsuit Blasts NBCUniversal for ‘Malicious’ Documentary Claims

Sean “Diddy” Combs is suing NBCUniversal, Peacock, and Ample for defamation over Diddy: The Making of a Bad Boy, alleging it spreads damaging conspiracy theories and false accusations.

The documentary features attorneys Lisa Bloom and Ariel Mitchell, who represent Combs’s accusers. Mitchell claims in the film that Combs has harmed “hundreds, maybe thousands” of people, while Bloom compares him to Jeffrey Epstein.

Lisa Bloom, one of the attorneys representing Combs’s accusers, also appears in the documentary.

A former Bad Boy Entertainment employee, with an altered voice for anonymity, alleges that Combs has had people hurt for decades. The documentary also includes claims from an alleged victim, “Ashley,” who accuses Combs of orchestrating a gang rape. Combs’s ex-bodyguard, Gene Deal, even speculates on his possible involvement in the 1997 murder of rapper Notorious B.I.G.

This isn’t Combs’s first legal challenge against media coverage. In November, his legal team tried and failed to restrict public statements from potential trial witnesses, arguing they were jeopardizing his right to a fair trial. NBCUniversal has not yet responded to the lawsuit.
