“Diddy’s Lawyers Demand ‘Freak Off’ Videos to Clear His Name!”
Sean “Diddy” Combs’ legal team claims that videos central to prosecutors’ case against the hip-hop mogul show no evidence of wrongdoing.
In a court filing Tuesday, attorneys for Combs argued the footage, described as “nine videos depicting six consensual sexual encounters” with his ex-girlfriend Cassie Ventura, proves his innocence. They are now asking Judge Arun Subramanian to allow electronic copies of the videos for use in the upcoming trial.
The videos, provided by Cassie’s lawyers, were viewed under strict conditions at law enforcement facilities in November and December. Prosecutors had arranged these conditions, reportedly at Cassie’s request, to protect her privacy.
Combs’ attorneys contend these restrictions hinder their ability to build a proper defense and have asked the judge to amend the protective order. Both Cassie’s legal team and the U.S. Attorney’s Office have declined to comment.
Diddy’s Lawyers Slam Prosecutors, Argue ‘Freak Off’ Videos Show Only Consensual Sex
Sean “Diddy” Combs’ legal team fiercely defended the embattled rapper in a Tuesday court filing, accusing federal prosecutors of promoting “paternalistic,” “sexist,” and “puritanical” stereotypes about women and victimhood.
“Consensual Encounters, Not Crimes”
The filing argued that the videos at the center of the government’s case, labeled as “Freak Offs,” depict nothing more than consensual sexual encounters. “The videos do not depict sex parties. There are no secret cameras, orgies, minors, or coercion. They show adults engaging in consensual sex, plain and simple,” the attorneys stated.
Prosecutors allege that Combs orchestrated “elaborate sex performances” involving force, threats, and coercion, often recording the events and using the footage to manipulate victims. The federal indictment accuses him of racketeering, sex trafficking, and using his influence in the entertainment industry to sustain a pattern of abuse.
Investigators claim to possess dozens of recordings, along with over 90 devices seized from Combs’ properties, which they say contain incriminating evidence.
Defense Refutes Claims of Abuse
Combs’ legal team denies these accusations, stating the footage reveals no signs of violence, coercion, or incapacitation. They have announced plans to employ experts to enhance the videos’ quality and analyze their metadata for the trial, scheduled to begin May 5.
Combs Maintains Innocence Amid Multiple Lawsuits
The 55-year-old, who has pleaded not guilty to federal charges, remains in jail after being denied bond multiple times. Combs has faced over two dozen civil lawsuits in the past year, alleging rape, trafficking, and sexual abuse spanning three decades.
Prosecutors claim Combs used his wealth and industry power to exploit victims, but his lawyers insist the evidence tells a different story, accusing the government of distorting facts to fit a narrative of guilt.
