Four Huskers Earn AVCA All-America Honors
Four Nebraska volleyball players have been named to the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) All-America Teams, highlighting their exceptional performances this season.
Andi Jackson and Lexi Rodriguez were selected to the AVCA All-America First Team, while Harper Murray and Bergen Reilly earned spots on the AVCA All-America Second Team. With these additions, Nebraska’s all-time All-America selections rise to a nation-leading total of 107.
Player Highlights
Andi Jackson, Sophomore, Middle Blocker (Brighton, Colo.)
- First-time AVCA All-America honoree and a unanimous All-Big Ten First Team selection.
- Earned AVCA All-Region honors for the second consecutive year.
- Achieved a .428 hitting percentage, ranking ninth nationally and third in school history, with 2.57 kills per set.
- Named Big Ten Defensive Player of the Week on Oct. 28 and recorded a career-high eight blocks in each of the final two regular-season matches.
Lexi Rodriguez, Senior, Libero (Sterling, Ill.)
- Four-time All-American, earning First Team honors in 2021, 2023, and 2024, and Second Team honors in 2022.
- Has 1,882 career digs, ranking second in school history, and leads Nebraska in NCAA Tournament digs with 265.
- Named Big Ten Libero of the Year for the third time, making her the second player in Big Ten history to achieve this distinction.
- Holds seven Big Ten Defensive Player of the Week honors and led the team with 3.91 digs per set this.
Harper Murray, Sophomore, Outside Hitter (Ann Arbor, Mich.)
- AVCA All-America, All-Big Ten First Team, and AVCA All-Region honoree for the second consecutive year.
- Leads the team in kills with 3.37 per set and contributed 36 aces, the highest on the team.
- Delivered a standout performance in the NCAA Tournament, averaging 4.08 kills per set on .322 hitting and earning Lincoln Regional Most Outstanding Player.
- Recorded a career-high 22 kills in a regional semifinal win over Dayton and helped sweep Wisconsin in the regional final.
Bergen Reilly, Sophomore, Setter (Sioux Falls, S.D.)
- Named to the AVCA All-America Second Team for the second year in a row.
- The only player in Big Ten history to win Setter of the Year in both her freshman and sophomore seasons.
- Averaged 11.09 assists per set (10th nationally) and contributed 2.85 digs per set with 16 double-doubles.
- Guided Nebraska to a .285 team hitting percentage, ranking 12th nationally.
- Achieved a career-high 60 assists and 17 digs in a 3-2 victory over Purdue on Oct. 11.
These athletes’ remarkable achievements showcase the strength and legacy of Nebraska volleyball, solidifying their place among the nation’s elite programs.
